Scott Podvin is an experienced and savvy attorney determined to protect homeowners from mortgage foreclosure actions. As a founding partner of Florida Foreclosure Law Group, Scott Podvin focuses his practice in the areas of mortgage foreclosure defense, civil litigation, complex commercial litigation, real estate law and business law.
Before founding the Florida Foreclosure Law Group, Mr. Podvin had the unique opportunity to work as assistant general counsel for a publicly traded company, which owned and operated its own commercial finance company, which issued loans to consumers. In this capacity, Mr. Podvin was charged with the responsibility of issuing loans, drafting mortgages and other loan documents, servicing loans, negotiating workouts and loan modification agreements, foreclosing 1000s of delinquent mortgage receivables, and lifting bankruptcy orders staying foreclosure proceedings or obtaining releases of certain assets from bankruptcy. Thus, Mr. Podvin has unique insight into how a bank or financial institution will approach and litigate a mortgage foreclosure.
Mr. Podvin also has extensive experience in representing both landlords and tenants in landlord-tenant disputes.
